Use Twitter Advanced Search Operators for More Accuracy
Twitter has advanced operators for location-based search queries. Those two search operators are “near:” and “within:” You can use them to find other Twitter users’ content from any specific location on mobile phones and desktops.
Use of “near” operator.
In the near: operator, you can enter the name of any location, postal code, country, area, state, city, or geocode. Of all these, the most precise is a geocode. It represents the GPS coordinates for a location. You can search any region’s latitude and longitude coordinates through Google search or Google Maps.
Use of “within” operator.
In the within: operator, you enter the distance. Twitter uses 15 miles as the default distance. You can edit the value. Example – “Cats near: Seattle within:10mi”
