WhatsApp brings exciting updates for its users to improve their experience and communication with each other. A few of these latest additions include Message Yourself, forward media with captions, Community, and others.
Through these features, WhatsApp plans to provide users with a secure and user-friendly platform. Some of these features are available for beta testers and have not yet been released.
Among them, the most important features are the PIP mode (picture-in-picture), report status, changing image quality before sharing, and others. So WhatsApp’s popularity among audiences is understandable because of its accommodating interface.
WhatsApp will also release new software that uses Apple Mac Catalyst. The new version of WhatsApp was existing in a closed beta for a few months, but now people can install the file on macOS Big Sur or later on the WhatsApp website.
The app facilitates easier communication between users worldwide but if a connection is set to be established between two users of different languages, communication might get complicated.
WABetaInfo shared that the company plans to include the feature within the Announcement Group. It will be accessible to all WhatsApp users once they have installed the recent update (version 23.2.0.75) of WhatsApp for iOS from the App Store and the TestFlight app for beta testers.
Other features to be launched on WhatsApp
Voice status updates
The platform is currently testing its ability to share voice notes through status updates. A report by WABetaInfo states that WhatsApp’s 23.2.0.70 version through the TestFlight beta Program will support the feature.
The update will shortly be launched for some beta testers and so far, some of them have already been given access to it. Users who are unable to share voice notes as status updates will have to await future updates.
WhatsApp beta for iOS users offers the latest version where the voice status feature is available. The option to share voice recordings as status updates can be found within the text status section.
Like images and videos, voice notes posted as status updates follow the same rules as other files and media shared in the same space. They expire in 24 hours but can be deleted at any time.
So users with updated versions of WhatsApp can use the feature.
Changes to the editor in the drawing tool
The popular messaging platform is also launching a redesigned text editor for its drawing tool. It will roll out new features like switching between different fonts, flexibility in text alignment, and changing text backgrounds.
New video mode
WhatsApp also launched a new camera mode for its Android app users. With the new camera mode, users can record videos on the app hands-free.
New iOS shortcuts
The app will release new iOS shortcuts which have been a blessing for group admins to run group-related activities. Now that groups accommodate up to 1024 participants, it’ll be easier for admins to manage and interact with the participants.
Introduction of new fonts
Reports spoke about a new WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.3.7. The platform will provide new fonts to be rolled out in the future. Some notable styles include Calistoga, Damion, Courier Prime, Exo 2, and Morning Breeze.
“Thanks to new fonts, users will be able to add more personalization and creativity to their text within images, videos, and GIFs and better express themselves by making their content more visually attractive,” the report shared.
